COURSE OVERVIEW
Seasons of Yin is a unique course through the elements of daoist philosophy that lies at the heart of the practice of yin. The course will offer a deep and full experience to the practitioner, as we embrace the journey through seasons and elements. We will step away from the fast paced daily rhythm of life, to embrace cyclical living.
Yin sequences for each season and element
Lectures on the foundations of yin and Daoist thought
Understanding yin’s effect on body and nervous system
Introduction to meridian theory and the flow of chi
Guided practices to support seasonal living
Yoga nidra scripts aligned with each season
Theory and principles of yin class sequencing
Overview of anatomy and fascial body mapping
Who is this training for?
This yin yoga training is an immersive, experiential training designed to take you deep into the heart of the practice a rare opportunity to learn through rest, replenish your energy, and return to yourself with renewed clarity and purpose.
This course is suitable for all yoga teachers who would like to offer yin yoga classes and workshops as well as for those who simply wish to spend time exploring the practice and embracing the cycles of nature. The course is also open to those who are not teachers, but would like to spend time deepening their understanding of yin and its philosophy. Certificates will only be given to qualified teachers.

For yoga teachers and aspiring instructors, a deep understanding of Yin yoga’s origins enriches both personal practice and teaching approach. This blog explores the history and foundational principles of Yin yoga essential knowledge for those preparing to guide others through its subtle yet profound journey.

There are 30 contact hours and no assignments or pre-course work. It is recommended that students read as much as they can, but they can do that before or after they have attended.
About Erika Shapiro
Erika is a Senior Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals, teaching Vinyasa flow, Yin yoga, Restorative yoga, meditation, and mindfulness through group classes, private tuition, corporate workshops, well-being days, and teacher trainings. As lead teacher, she delivers and creates content for the 200-hour and advanced teacher training programmes.
A 500-hour RYT since 2009 (Art of Contemporary Yoga), Erika has trained with Joanne Avison, Alex Filmer-Loch, and Linda D’Antal, and furthered her studies with Bo Forbes, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, and Norman Blair. She is trained in pre- and post-natal yoga (Sally Parkes Yoga) and holds a foundation certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Her non-dogmatic, inclusive classes encourage students to explore their own practice, blending physical challenge with mindful awareness.
Cancellation Policy
- Deposits are non refundable
- Course balance is due by the 31st of October 2025
- To receive your certificate you will need to attend the full course and all of it’s modules
- If you choose to cancel 8 weeks before the start of your course, you will receive 50% of the full course fee minus the deposit.
- If you cancel your place on the course less than 8 weeks before the first day, we are unable to offer a refund.
